Do you need an RMG licence?
Follow the path your draw takes.
Whether your site needs a licence comes down to two questions: do players pay to enter, and is there a genuine skill question with a free entry route? We build to the prize competition model by default, so the answer for our sites is usually no lottery licence required.
Do I need an RMG licence for my raffle or competition website?
A prize competition built with a genuine skill question and a free entry route sits outside lottery law, so it doesn't need a Gambling Commission lottery licence. RMG guidance and the Voluntary Code of Good Practice set the standard most operators follow, and we build every site to meet it: age gate, spend limits, free entry route and all. What is the difference between a raffle, a competition and a prize draw?
A prize draw is free to enter with a random winner. A prize competition is paid entry with a skill element and usually a free entry route, which keeps it outside lottery law. A raffle is chance-based ticket sales, which UK law treats as a lottery unless run by a licensed society. We build to the prize competition model by default, skill question and free entry route included.
Who provides the domain, hosting and SSL?
Every package comes with a year of free domain, hosting and SSL, set up after your initial deposit. Already have these? We can work with what you've got.
Who owns the website once it's finished?
You do, fully, once it's paid for. We don't take a revenue share, charge per order, or keep any ongoing connection to the site unless you choose an optional support plan yourself.
Do you charge per order, per ticket, or take a share of revenue?
No. We charge for building the site and, if you want it, ongoing support. We never take a cut of your ticket sales, and there are no hidden per-order fees on top of your plan.
How many competitions can I add?
Unlimited. Add as many competitions and raffles as your business needs, with no extra licence cost.
Can I add and edit competitions myself?
Yes. You get a user-friendly backend where you can add new competitions and edit any page or content, no developer needed for day-to-day changes.
How does payment gateway approval work for raffle sites?
Not every provider accepts competition or raffle websites. There's a limited list who do, and we guide you through choosing and applying to one as part of the build.
What does a fully-featured site cost?
Our standard build with the full feature set starts from £999 one-off, or from £79 a month. We'll show you design concepts to choose from and rebrand fully to your logo and colours. Bespoke layouts are quoted separately, see the full pricing page.
Can I build my own raffle website instead?
Yes. If you'd rather do it yourself, our raffle themes store has ready-made WordPress themes with competition pages, ticket selectors, instant wins and checkout already in place. You install it, add your prizes and start selling, and you can bring us in for a custom build later.
Do you build Spin Wheel and Scratch Card games into every site?
They're included on our Growth and Pro plans, or available as an add-on. The core ticket-selling system is included on every plan. See Spin Wheel System and Scratch Card System.
Do you offer SEO and social media marketing?
Yes. We won't promise page-one rankings in a month though, because that isn't realistic, and we'd rather be straight with you than sell you something we can't deliver.
Can you redesign my existing raffle website?
Yes, this is one of our most common projects. Send your current site over and we'll tell you exactly what we'd change and why.
Do you provide after-sales support and maintenance?
Security and updates are covered for the first year. After that, maintenance plans start from £25 a month, entirely optional.
